Why Celebrate Passover?

The redemption story is found in the Passover story. The gospels talk about Passover more than any other subject and it is THE. MOST. IMPORTANT aspect of the Master's first appearance. It's what He came for.

Please do not get caught up in bunnies and colored eggs and sun rise services and hot cross buns and ham with the man- made holiday of easter, and miss what is so vital to your growing faith!

This isn't about bashing what you have done in the past, but let THIS be the year you finally dig in, really dig in, and see what all the fuss of this Holy time is all about!

Please join me on a journey from now to Passover to see what you've been missing but what the Holy One wants you to know about His Plan and His Son and redemption from death to spiritual life. There is so much more than what I will show you, but my prayer is that it will be enough to cause you to seek these things out and forever be changed!

Be prepared to be amazed and awed by the One who loves you so much!

God is Love

the one who does not love does not know God for God is love

Have you ever thought about how striking this statement is? If you can love, but choose not to, then you do not love. If you do not love, then you do not know God.

Sure wish they were qualifiers to this - love SOME people not others.

Only love if it is convenient.

Only love if it doesn't cost me something.

Only love those I deem worthy.

Nope, it doesn't say that.

The solution is to press in to God, to know Him more, for He is love.

I have much to learn.

Love

Chocolate and roses are all fine and everything, but THIS is the real deal:

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Do you know THIS love? God's love for us is like this. This is the kind that is lasting, that is real. The kind that is hard to fake for very long and the kind that is poured out onto others as we let Him pour it into us.

The Shadow of Donuts

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of donuts, I will fear no gluten, for I am on a raw food/juice fast. Thy veggies and fruit sustain me. I have prepared a juice smoothie in the presence of those who eat junk food. I have carrots and apples and bananas and squash, my blender overflows. Surely health and well being follow me all the days of this fast. And I will dwell in the house of vitality at least until the end of the 21 days.

Juicing Day 6

Survived Superbowl Sunday food fest with just one 'incident': two hot wings, 1/2 chili cheese dog with sauerkraut, small slice of cheese pizza. Not all at one time, mind you - it was spread out over the course of the evening. I'm not into football so didn't watch the game. The guys did though.

Still feeling amazing and full of energy.

Not much else to report.

I'm not thinking that I'll make very many UPDATES from now on. It's not that I don't think I'll finish, just that I'm not motivated to document it. Not like I was that first night before I started.
