All in a Day's Work

It's time to tackle the floor of the Great Room. It has a beautiful hardwood floor, but something happened to it and it has to be replaced. We've got a plan in mind, but first we need to remove the old flooring and take it to the plywood sub floor. We'll live with it that way for a bit while we save up enough to pay for a combination of carpet and laminate 'wood' flooring. It'll look good once it's all done.

We started the project on a Sunday night, after we got a for sure 'go ahead' from the landlords. Unfortunately, the furnace wasn't working all that day, so you'll see most of the children in coats. It was ca-OLD!

We worked on it the next morning, in between school work. Of course, this is REAL LIFE school but math and reading are important too. I had a crock pot going with hot spiced apple cider for the workers.

Speaking of crock pots, the other day Andrei had a dream I crock potted him PB&J sandwiches. Funny thing was, he wasn't freaked out by that thought at all. HAHAHA. I guess I DO crock pot a lot of our meals......

blessings,

Gail
