A friend of mine announced today on Facebook that she is starting a 21 day juice/raw food fast. I asked her to wait till tomorrow and I would join her. Impetuous, you say? Surprisingly, no. I'd been looking at juicing sites all weekend long, wondering when I'd finally decide to do it again. I did an 8 day fast during Chanukkah in 2009. Those of you who've been hangin' with me for awhile might remember that.
So when I read her status, I jumped right in. No more of this weighing the consequences. Do I want to start right before Superbowl Sunday? February is my oldest son's 16th birthday (on the 16th). And on and on the excuses can pile up.
No, this time I just did it. Instant change in lifestyle. 21 days to health.
I'm toying with the idea of doing a daily pictorial journal. Not sure if anyone wants to see my mug for the next 21 days, but it might be something I'd like to look back on. It's almost 1am in South Dakota. Better get to sleep. Tomorrow might be a looong day.
oh, and that's not a typo in the title of this post - I'm calling it a Feast because I anticipate that in time I will look on it as such. maybe not so much tomorrow.
blessings,
Gail
